CHIROPRACTIC

Chiropractic is a well-established system of treatment and, alongside osteopathy, is respected as one of the major forms of manipulative therapy. It is based upon the premise that structure affects function, and in particular that displacement of the structure of the spine can cause pressure on nerves which in turn affect other parts of the body.

Chiropractors use a variety of manual adjustment techniques to help correct faulty alignment, and following a thorough physical examination, plus questioning about your general health, are likely to take X-rays to establish precisely what is happening to your skeleton. Manipulation is then carried out to give normal movement back to any affected joints, and you will probably be re-examined to make sure that the joints are now moving freely.
