MODERN MIRACLES

In the middle of the twentieth century we began to change our outlook. The advent of modern medicine, together with its many miracles, also led to a much greater dependency on our physicians and to an increasingly stretched health care system. Somewhere along the line we began to believe that technology was in someway superior to what was natural, and so we willingly gave up control of even minor health problems.

We are no longer in touch with our bodies, and when we become ill we expect someone else to treat us and to make us well again. We are more dependent, and less self-sufficient, than we once were. Today, we are accustomed to taking medicine when we are ill, and it is difficult to teach ourselves that good health means taking a holistic approach. Natural remedies are designed to be holistic - taking into consideration the mind, body and spirit as equally important elements of good health. When all three elements are successfully balanced, when we have optimum energy levels and a good sense of well-being, our bodies have the ability to cure themselves.
