FLOWER REMEDIES IN ACTION

There is some debate as to whether the remedies should be taken before or after meals, or if coffee and strong herbs and species should be avoided. There is little evidence that anything affects the efficiency of the remedies, but it is useful to space them carefully across the day so that the remedy may take advantage of your personal rhythms.

Remedies are about growth and change, so it is worth looking for periods of the day when you have some mental space. Some people find this time in the early morning, when they are fresh and before the pattern of the day has become established; others choose evening when the chatter of the world has ceased and everyone else is in bed.

Remedies can be used: to treat the emotional outlook generated by disease, to balance a particular recurring pattern in the personality, to alter a temporary emotional response and situation, as a preventive measure. An acute trauma may respond in a few days. A standing or chronic pattern might need supporting for three or four months. Try a new mixture for ten days and then reconsider patterns and moods before continuing. Do not force yourself to take any remedy. It must feel right.

Flower remedies can be taken with other remedies, and will not interfere with orthodox treatment or any of the other natural remedies.
